We are very passionate about guiding. Interaction with the hunters and the dogs is the ultimate payoff of the entire training venture.

Experienced and novice hunters learn through the course of the hunt to read the dogs mannerisms when they are working birds.

One of the most rewarding events that we are able to guide is a yearly disabled persons hunt.  This is usually a large event with many ATV's, trailers, and side-by-sides.  With all the added action, the dogs really get a workout.  The hunters all seem to have a ball, and so do we.  

We've guided a range of different types of hunts in the past, and are equipped to handle small groups here at the Peytonfarm.

Peytonfarm shooting preserve offers year around guided bird hunts. All hunts must be guided.

Guided hunts with Peytonfarm dogs

Half day for one to two people $150.00 additional hunters $25.00 each Whole day for one to two people $200.00 additional hunters $50.00 each

Guided hunts with your own dogs

Half day for one to two people $75.00 additional hunters $25.00 each Whole day for one to two people $150.00 additional hunters $50.00 each Half day hunts will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Whole day hunts will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A lite lunch will be served with full day hunts.

Bird Prices

Pheasants $20.00 each Quail $9.00 each Chuckar $ 15.00 each

All hunting licenses and fees must be purchased prior to arriving for the hunt. Licenses can be purchased on line at the Missouri Department of Conservation. All hunters will be required to wear two articles of orange clothing hat/vest. SAFETY IS A MUST!
